Kate is a new employee at the cleaning agency, sent to clean Mr. Smith's home. When she arrives, she finds that she is all alone and gets started on her own. Soon after, however, she receives an odd phone call from her boss telling her that Mr. Smith has left further instructions for her on a video message to be viewed on the TV. Puzzled, she turns the TV on to find a spiral and an electronic voice. Kate is reprogrammed as a cleaning robot and designed to obey any command.
