Carmen is visiting family in her hometown, and stops by to visit an old friend she briefly dated. She thinks all of that is in the past, but it seems like her friend still has some unresolved feelings towards her. She tries telling him that she is recently engaged, but he isn't giving up that easily. He places a light display for Carmen to stumble upon. Carmen is soon programmed and completely at her friend's mercy. He tells Carmen that she will now see him as her master, and that she must will his every command. Carmen is also made to believe that she must call off her wedding and start a relationship with him instead.
